Walked past a girl wearing a Visa Championships shirt from like 2010 on the way to class. Wanted to stop her and be like “excuse me do you have time to talk about our lord and savior simone biles” to see if she was really ONE OF US but I chickened out

2014 USA Gymnastics World Championships Team (x)
Alternate will be decided prior to the competition. Brenna Dowell will be the non-traveling alternate.
is it wrong to hope someone gets injured so brenna gets upgraded to traveling alternate :(

I don’t think Jordyn actually needs NCAA eligibility to compete. She just needs to be enrolled in college, not necessarily on a college team.
That is correct, but if I’m not mistaken the idea was that she would be done with gymnastics if she couldn’t get her eligibility back + she wasn’t going to start seriously training until she had confirmation.
you know I really would love to see the US go to Universiade next year with some combination of Sloan, Baker, Caquatto, Price, Brannan, Bailey, (Aja) Sims, Jetter and Dowell if she decides to start at Oklahoma… like these are all former elites and a lot of them have competed internationally they could tear it up
technically Raisman could be on the team too, as well as Wieber if she petitions successfully for NCAA eligibility and starts training again
but I know it’s never gonna happen :(
this scenario I created in my head got intense
